Aloe Collective Branding, Web Design, and Product Labels
Goal:
Create cohesive branding kit to update website to be more informational and user friendly. Then to design product labels to launch retail.
Results:
The website now holding all relevant information for booking and what to do after you book has resulted in less calls to business from customers asking questions. Customers comment the site made it very easy to book and prepared them for their appointments. There is now an existing brand kit for future projects we work on and it has been used to create product labels that launch in June 2026.
Process:
To begin my work with Aloe Collective I started with conversations around goals and projects for the business. I decided creating a brand guide to follow was the first step to make since multiple fonts were used and they wanted to add more than just a dark green color to their brand. After that was complete, I got to work on revamping their existing site on Wordpress. The audience is primarily younger women from high school into 30s and the business is fun, playful, and modern. I added the business’ professional photos of girls that age range so visitors could see themselves. The use of italicized serif words in the headers was to provide emphasis and style.
I took the illustrative icons and stripe pattern to the bottle labels next. We started with research into other small tanning salons and big name self tanner products. After creating mood boards, rounds of sketches, lots of Illustrator artboards and test prints we finally nailed a design for all 4 products that felt cohesive and on brand.
Solution:
A complete brand guide was created so future materials, social posts, and miscellaneous business needs all feel cohesive. Professional photos are used on homepage to entice customer to get the same tan. A gallery page holds UGC to promote brand trust. Additionally, the tanning room has a stripe wall and a mural with bikinis similar to the style of the brand guide bikini icon. The website is also ready to sell the products I created labels for once they arrive in stock June 2026.
Full website can be viewed here and will soon also lead to a Shopify site for associated boutique online sales. https://aloecollective.com/
